The cost of truck driving school will vary quite a bit. Some of the schools at community colleges and tech schools can be down around $2,500. I've also seen a couple schools that were up around $9,000. So it pays to check out different options.
The paid training through trucking companies (company-sponsored training programs) might be a great way for you to go. It might save quite a bit of time and money. They're going to have you out on the road making money as quickly as possible.

A Company-Sponsored Training Program is a school that is owned and operated by a trucking company.
The schooling often requires little or no money up front. Instead of paying up-front tuition you will sign an agreement to work for the company for a specified amount of time after graduation, usually around a year, at a slightly lower rate of pay in order to pay for the training.
If you choose to quit working for the company before your year is up, they will normally require you to pay back a prorated amount of money for the schooling. The amount you pay back will be comparable to what you would have paid if you went to an independently owned school.
Company-sponsored training can be an excellent way to get your career underway if you can't afford the tuition up front for private schooling.
I look in to a diffrent truck driving school and its been around a long time and its 3,100 if i make payments with 500 down or 1,900 cash wich is a lot better and they said if i already have my permit i go stright to hands on wich i like and its only 4 weeks class so it pays to look around
Oh it definitely pays to look around. There are significant differences in length of training, equipment, costs, and all kinds of other factors.
