Looks good in picture but can you imagine in a million miles when a tire blows and takes half that plastic with it around the wheels.
Looks just like my 'ole 650745 I drove for Prime ... different colors all ...

Yeah, it looks all nifty and streamlined and aerodynamic and fuel efficient and futuristic. It also looks utterly impractical for everyday use.
How ya gonna pre trip the drive axles and trailer? Where do you raise and lower the landing gear?

If it can drive itself, the pre-trip should be a button on the dash, and a short printout like a cash register receipt. 2 minutes, tops!
That thing looks like a Prius on steroids.
I am very disappointed in the fuel economy of this truck. It was tested on flat TX roads under an extremely light load, it was built specifically for fuel savings yet they only managed to hit the 12's. And who knows how slow they drove?
My truck is under a load 6,000lb heavier and I went from UT to IA with it. Climbing tons of 6% grades including Parleys Summit, fighting the winds of WY and NE and enduring the hilly terrain of IA. And through all that my truck managed to hit 9.5mpg going 62mph. I doubt this "super" truck has the power or ability to do that. I think Freightliner is just bored so they wanted to do a project. Except for what they built I think the fuel economy should be a whole lot higher.
The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
Daniel I would tend to agree except that if they can keep the real world numbers near twelve then that would be a huge savings in fuel. Especially when you talk about the enormous amount of fuel these companies purchase. You're never going to achieve monsterous gains in mpg but I would say that a mile or two here or there would be a very good step forward.
Plus this is probably still in concept development so the figures are still going to bounce around a bunch, as well as the overall look.
