Anyone get the feeling that this original post might be a fishing expedition? Just wonder'n ...
Could be. But that's ok. We're looking for helpful information to talk about and this fella decided to help us out by bringing up a good topic. We'll go with it.
I really appreciate this post. Soon I will be faced with the decision to go company or lease ( only 10000 miles to go ) . I am leaning toward company but I haven't committed 100% yet. I have read everyone's posts on the subject and understand Everyone's reasoning. I have been thinking about going company for the first year and then evaluating my options at that time. Why would I open a restaurant if I never been inside a kitchen?

Or another question would be why open a restaurant if you're only going to make what a chef would make anyhow? You're taking all that risk, doing all that extra work, and for what? You could have just been the chef, made the same amount of money, and eliminated all of that extra risk and stress.
So why buy or lease a truck when you know the profit margins in this industry are 3%? There's an infinite downside risk and hardly any upside potential above what a company driver would make anyhow.

I kinda got the same feeling honestly. Plus it seemed like a bit of over analysis.
