How do I know if I'm ready for my permit test I've been reading my ca commercial driver s dmv handbook And doing the high road training and testing and doing well on the quizes

I'm just not sure what to expect on the permit test .

My instructor said to get my permit before starting school

So I take it seat and wheel time isn't necessary for the permit test

I'm In the process of getting my medical form ( dmv form 51) completed by a physician

But please enlighten me if I need to do more or what to expect .

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

DMV:

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

Permit test here in Texas was just Combination Vehicles and Special Requirements. If yours is somewhat the same they should tell you what chapters to read out of your states handbook. It is not hard , just study. The only test that any of the guys struggled with the most here is General Knowledge but you most likely do not need it to get the permit. Remember your states special requirements may slightly differ from the HRT here on this site. Use both but base that one from the states handbook you are testing in. They are not hard if you study.

Combination Vehicle:

A vehicle with two separate parts - the power unit (tractor) and the trailer. Tractor-trailers are considered combination vehicles.
