I am currently running from texas to canada with a heavy load. The run allows for me to take a 34 hour rest during it.

My question is this i am currently in billings montana, i have 934 miles to go be the 15th at 8 am pacific time. I have tons of time, just curious as top is i could make 525 miles in 10 hours and 13 minutes (time left on 70 in the morning) or should i just take my 34 in billings.

My truck tops out at 63 MPH on flat ground and i currently weight 77360 pounds.

I am thinking that i should take my 34 now instead of trying for my next fuel stop tomorrow just for the extra time on the clock, i just know there is nothing at this pilot in billings :D

From personal experience, I can tell you that with a 62 MPH truck and a similar load, I've gone from Post Falls, ID to Billings in less than 10 hours. Quite often, in fact. As long as the weather and roads are clear, you should be fine.

i have the feeling i can do it but as i have not run the route before i am iffy on it. Its simply a matter of where i do my 34, i like doing 34s in places i have not been and i have stayed at this truck stop before :D

I've run that route more times than I can count in both directions. There's some pretty steep hills, but plenty of flat land between them. The ones to be most watchful on are Homestake Pass coming into Bozeman, Lookout Pass crossing the border into ID, and 4th of July Pass coming down into Coeur D'Alene. Those hills are not only big, but bendy. Just take er easy on the curves and you'll be fine. With clear roads, I'd leave out of Post Falls around 0500 Pacific time, and with a 30 minute break be in Billings by 1600 Mountain time. The scenery is gorgeous through there too.
