I definitely think I made the right decision getting back behind the wheel. Been a couple headaches this week, waiting at shippers, downtown rush hour traffic in construction through dallas. But I got in 2,931 miles in a week with one lost day and one day with just a 113 mile load. Can't with until training is over, and my contract obligations are finished so I can really make some money though. It'll be worth it in the long run.
You think you had it bad, the 6 trucks behind me delivering the bridge beams had to wait over 12 hours to unload for the crane crew to add another 100 feet to the boom. This was a 173 foot bridge and they were setting the beams from one end of the bridge. He had 200 feet of boom to reach the other side. This was a 550 ton crane. That means it can lift a maximum of 1,100,000 pounds.
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.
I think I saw all those trucks heading into Dallas as I was heading out.

Probably not the same ones then. Lol, I saw several trucks with what I assumed were bridge beams going into Dallas though. And several areas that looked to be in need of bridge beams. Lol
Sounds perfect. Not including the 113 day, you averaged about 564 miles/day. Love it. I got to get signed up for class. I live in Missouri so going to give Prime a shot.
