What I don't understand is why the police department would release that kind of thing publicly on social media. How did putting that on facebook help anyone? Is it going to make our society a better place by broadcasting every dumb thing they come across? Certainly not. Are we impressed with them for catching this person? No.
I'm not defending the driver at all. He'll lose his job and he should. I'm just questioning the idea that police departments are putting things like this on Social Media. Is that really a good idea? Are millions of people going to be driving to work now wondering if the trucker next to them is watching a soccer game? I don't see how that's going to help anyone.
Just seems weird I guess.
Because people are stupid.
Stupid people do stupid things.
There are a LOT of stupid people on Facebook.
The police using these facts to their advantage.
They have to use gimmicks such as this to get stupid peoples attention.
stupid people think things like this are harmless, so the Police have to put these messages out to remind the stupid people that this is not only stupid but also illegal and people do get caught and punished for it.
