I just thought you might like to know that I just reported JB Hunt to the Federal Communications Commission for harassment. I talked to a recruiter last December and was told by two different departments, recruiting and applications, that I was fully acceptable as a new driver, despite working for over 8 trucking companies in the last 18 months. I quit my job here at home when I got their email saying Welcome to JB Hunt. Two hours later I received another email from the recruiter telling me the investigation dept. rejected me. I was enraged they would pull this on me, so I reported the recruiter to HR at JB Hunt. But again today I got another call, and this time I went to the FCC. They are taking care of this federal crime of harassment.

Awesome....our insane friend Patrick is at it again. His bio for those who haven't seen it:

I am a 25 year old from Iowa who has always had no interest in sports, or marriage, or drinking. I am an atheist who thinks religion is just a formalized and ritualized mental disorder.

My friend, the enemy in the mirror is mighty and has defeated you again. You really have no idea how to get along with anyone, do you? You also don't seem to realize that's going to make your life very, very difficult.

I happen to be a loner myself and I try like mad not to depend on anyone for my successes. But I am aware of the fact that if I go around making enemies of the peoples then the peoples will in turn consider me the enemy and make my life miserable every chance they get. Therefore, anywhere you go in life you'll be swimming upstream and you'll only have success if you can overcome the desire of the people around you to see you fail. Building a great life for yourself is an extremely difficult endeavor. Doing it while fighting everyone around you is virtually impossible.

If you think you can take on the whole world and win then keep trying. But I think someday you'll realize you're exhausted, out of options, out of friends, and out of opportunities because you never learned to get along with anyone or you never thought it mattered.

You're focusing on what everyone around you is doing instead of focusing on what you should be doing to make yourself successful. When you turn that around you'll see life from a whole new perspective and the stars will start to align in your favor.

Nice move Patrick!

You really put the cherry on top of the messed up ice cream sundae of a career you've been creating for yourself.

Over 8 companies in 18 months, and no one wants to hire you? Weird!?

I'm lost here too. The FCC shouldn't have a dog in this fight. Brett you hit the nail squarely on the head. And that was before I read his bio. Old school I love the way yoi put things.

This is why Patrick G. reported them to the FCC. The FCC handles SPAM complaints.

It's not spam when you apply to a company. He never would have gotten any email from JB Hunt without sending over an application. Maybe they called him prematurely and found out a bit later that he falsified his application.

Think about it, 8 companies in 18 months. There's probably so much garbage on his DAC that he failed to acknowledge on his application because "it was their fault not mine".

Patrick, I have to give it to you. You're an absolutely legendary internet troll. You make these absolutely ridiculous posts and then you just vanish without replying to them. I can see you just laughing in front of your computer as you ruffle our feathers.

The things you say are just shocking. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that you spend weeks thinking about what to make your next thread about. How we keep biting the bait is beyond me.

Good luck finding that 9th company, if your story is even true.

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

I am not even going to feed any advice on this one. I think digesting razor blades would be easier.

Daniel B.; sorry, man. What I meant to say is that Patrick G. believes what JBH's recruiters have done is SPAM . The FCC is the agency that handles SPAM complaints, so off our Patrick went to them to seek redress. If P.G. did not inform them not to contact him, he has no Can SPAM actionable event. That is, as you rightly said, he reached out to them, and to discontinue communication he'd have had to inform them not to email him in future. His communication ending poorly would not put him in the do not email list automatically.

Please, don't put me in the sympathy side. I feel Patrick G. is a screamer. If he wasn't on the do not email list, it would be prudent for JBH to put him there. Screamers rarely prosper, but they can make your life Hell.

Yours respectfully from the email marketing trenches,

Michael
