Well next Friday I test to get my CDL I am confidant in that I will get it....just so nervous
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
- Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
- Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
Nervousness is normal. All of us have been there with that knot in our stomachs , lol. Nervousness means that you care, that you worked hard and want to do your best. On the day of the test, take that nervous energy and channel it towards you successfully passing the test.
Shoot, I was so nervous that my left hand was shaking like a leaf. I had to tighten my grip around the steering wheel so that my instructor wouldn't notice, lol!

Hey just wanted to let everyone know that I was graced by God and got my CDL. Yesterday was my first day out with my wife and boy oh boy do I have a lot to learn good thing she is a patient trainer

Just wanted to take a minute to say hi! I am currently in training to get my CDL and my wife drives and as soon as I finish up we will be teaming together. Almost 40 years it has really taken me this long to figure out where I belong and it's in the driver's seat of an 18 wheeler....can't wait to be done and get out to the real world.
