Hey RT!
I still like the way the old Volvo drove better.

I agree. Looove the old Volvos. They have a nice heavy, smooth feel to them. They are totally sweet. Huge windows, great field of vision, deep, rumbling engine ... ...quiet on the inside too.

Don`t be jelly, have to send you to jelly school (South Park).
That pic was in El Paso, TX. The guy who ran the venue said it is the first time 7 trucks were parked in there. Didn`t seem like a biggie to me, we had a good lead driver who knew how to back us up on a radio.
Got my truck wednesday,15,kenworth 680,auto,Im laughing as I roll through traffic, checking out the pretty skirts next to me.I really cant believe some of the beater trucks on the road. o

Hey there MG,
Congrats on the truck!
I was very unimpressed with my first one (2008 Volvo... Nasty, paint chipping...) too and like you, after I cleaned it up and discovered her little secrets, I loved it. Unfortunately the tranny went kaput and she went to truck heaven, or to some sucker with money to throw away. ent to a 2012 Freightliner and... meh. It felt clunky and had a horrible turn radius compared to the Volvo. Only had it for a few months until I got into the one I have now, a 2015 Freightliner. I still like the way the old Volvo drove better.
APU:
Auxiliary Power Unit
On tractor trailers, and APU is a small diesel engine that powers a heat and air conditioning unit while charging the truck's main batteries at the same time. This allows the driver to remain comfortable in the cab and have access to electric power without running the main truck engine.
Having an APU helps save money in fuel costs and saves wear and tear on the main engine, though they tend to be expensive to install and maintain. Therefore only a very small percentage of the trucks on the road today come equipped with an APU.
