I ended up doing laundry about once a week when I was with my trainer. He was on a dedicated regional account however, and we ran hard during my whole training period. YMMV, but I think a week's worth of clothes would be sufficient, with maybe some extra underwear and socks. Remember that jeans can usually be worn two days in a row if you're keeping clean with regular showers.
Do laundry at the terminal orientation is held at before you head out, that way you'll have a fresh set of clothes in case you can't do laundry right away. At most truck stops a complete load is $5 (2.50 to wash, 2.50 to dry) so try to wash at terminals whenever you have the chance, it will usually be free or much cheaper. I work for Swift and at most of our terminals it costs $2 for a complete load.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
There is laundry at most truck stops. Depending on how you are running you should be able to do laundry once a week.
