If your a team driver right out of the gate then that would be the only way someone would be in the back while you drive but if you have a trainer he has to sit in the passenger seat while the truck is moving as he is training you drive 11 hours side by side if he drives some or not that's what a lot of companies told me

If you're coming into training with only a permit, then your trainer is sitting in the passenger seat the whole time. If they're not, get another trainer. I mean aside from getting up and grabbing a drink from the cooler or something but they shouldn't ever be taking an extended stay in the bunk and especially not sleeping.

I could go into a long speech about a trainer watching porn or engaging in a sexual conversation with someone else on the phone while you're driving being a big time sexual harassment suit (even if you're both the same gender) but I'll refrain. Just know that most SH complaints aren't female vs male. It's same gender.

I've been training a new driver the past couple of weeks and will be updating my prime instructor thread in the cdl training diaries section soon. We'll be on Springfield today and I should get some free time soon.
