I got a Freightliner automatic. I really like it too. Especially in traffic, in towns and clImbing hills. Lol
How's yours do fully loaded?
If you go into it with an open mind and take the time to learn how to make the transmission work for you they are not bad.
I'd say 90% of the drivers out there have a minor panic attack and throw up a little in their mouth when you mention they might have to drive an automatic. Then soon after you see them smiling from ear to ear while they relax and cruise down the road in style.
I drove a standard for about 9 years and an automatic for 6 years. The automatics were less reliable, at least the type I had was. But they have a manual mode so you can shift them yourself and pick the gear you want to be in anytime. They're great in any type of slow-moving or stop-and-go traffic.

Fine I guess. I don't have a lot of experience to compare it to though. Seems like it does add good add the international pro star I drove during my training.
I love my t660 automatic :) Makes driving just a little less stressful, especially in traffic. There are easy ways to make it work to your advantage, but the only think I haven't been able to figure out how to do is skip gears manually.

I never thought I'd like an automatic transmission until I took my road test for Halvor lines. It was a kenworth t660 (I think) and that thing was like driving a Cadillac. Lol
