I'm not sure what it should say but I would verify your status with the DMV. You should have a Class B license with a Class A permit but I don't know how they specify that on the documents.

Hi all. I've been driving a school bus for over a year so I have a class B CDL. I went to the DMV today and passed my tests for the upgrade to A and all of the endorsements I could get. They told me I have to wait until I have a license to do doubles/triples. I supposedly have an instructional permit in hand, but it still says class B, with a restriction (of course) that I need a licensed driver with above a class B. Shouldn't it say class A, with that same restriction? Thanks for your help, and thanks to the training program here on trucking truth.
