Unfortunately the trucking industry as a whole is short on female trainers across the board.
Female drivers makeup about 12% of the drivers out here. And very few of them train.
Unfortunately male trainers for the most part get a bad rap due to a few bad apples.
The waiting list for female trainers are long no matter what company you choose.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
Thank you, guess I have to wait on a call from 1 of the company's I applied at.

Here's a goal for you, TGK: get hired, then 8-12 months of experience later, step forward and you be the female trainer, so another lady Trucker won't have to wait so long - pay it forward!
Sexism needs to be abolished; Not perpetuated.
I don't know if you have applied to Roehl Transport but they seem to get females with a trainer pretty quickly. Not sure if you are set on a female only trainer, but I do know their male trainers that take female students have to undergo additional training to be able to have a female in their truck and you would talk to a training fleet manager daily to make sure all is well. Good luck!
If you have to wait two weeks that's not so bad, just make the best of it. When H.O.Wolding hired me in December, my woman trainer was just finishing up with someone else. So between Christmas & New Year, they sent me out days with a local guy driver, then out for a month with my lady trainer in January. It was great to get input from two different sources, and to compare OTR with local.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Good tip,
Thank you,
Hello all, I just graduated from truck driving school on June 9, 2015. Recruiters was calling me all while I was in school. I'm just calling back to let them know I'm finished with school. It's hard trying to find a company ready to send me out like tomorrow, because there's no lady drivers to train me. I will have to wait 2 weeks or more and with no promise date. I need to know what companies out there get GIRLS rolling out the gate with good training.
Thank you guys for your input. I got a call on Monday to inform me that a slot opened and to start orientation and training Monday June 22, 2015 @ Averitt Express. Prayers goes up, blessings come down. I Thank God for this Blessing, because this was my 1st choice. I will continue posting to let you guys know how things are going.
