Most of those things are very high sodium.

Where's the fruits & veggies?

double-quotes-end.png

I am sodium deficient! It doesn't bother me in the least. Lol. I crave salt like most people do sugar.

My body also rejects most of the common vegetables & fruits you see advertised. This isn't a daily list for life; Just this week or two. I love cranberries, bananas, papayas, etc. Potatoes are an all time favorite. Beans too. Peanuts are delicious!!

Your body craves warm food due to instinct (a fresh bloody kill). I am indifferent.

Besides obvious mouthfeel differences, our bodies like cooked foods because they are easier to digest. Cooking breaks down fibers in veggies and meats to make them more digestible and easier to chew. Our teeth aren't made to rip through most parts of a fresh kill. We can't break through tendons or gristle easily like a carnivore can.

For being 'not a carnivore': My non-carnivore teeth just annihilated everything you listed with ease. My non-carnivore K9 teeth effortlessly tore all that gristle to shreds. Makes digesting easy

Luckily I have a fork now. Time to enjoy canned food, and a nap! 34hr reset is almost up. :)

So This is my backyard: 69D9EF7C-B5BD-40F3-87B8-7B101B3CF61C.jpgsmile.gifsmile.gif

I am a big fan of chickens myself. We had three hens for years, then this year we bought 10 fertilized eggs and ended up with 8 chicks. At least 4 of those are roosters and they will not be staying in suburbia for long. They will be headed to freezer camp in the near future. For sure some of them roosters will be doing a ride along with me at some point in time.

Thanks for the info Old School, It is helpful! My crock pot is a small 1.5qt. I have a 3qt pot if I feel the need to upgrade though.

Okay, glad to hear it!

Brett raises chickens also. In fact he and I have twin roosters.

I don't have any pics of the bantams on my computer, bet here is a shot of my rooster which looks remarkably like Brett's. This is Jake, a true lady's man!

I'm wondering, if DOT pulled you in for an inspection, would that be legal? Not to be the party pooper here, just an honest question

Lol!

I am surprised no one here eats camel, considering they like chicken so much! They sell for around $1,000,000 in Jordan. Maybe that's why.

Hello. I am fixing to buy ~2 weeks of groceries. I figured I'd share my list.

I am working without a stove, oven, microwave oven, and anything else other than the mini fridge they provide.

I eat ~1lbs of food a day, to maintain a healthy body weight (~1.2k calorie in take). I tend to drink Monsters (bad habit; Love the flavor), Gatorades, and water. Occassionally, I'll grab a cup of coffee, chocolate milk, or soda.

My shopping list:

x1 loaf of white bread

x2 loafs of wheat bread

x2 1lbs of bologna

x2 1lbs of hot dogs

x1 1lbs of black forest ham

x1 package of cheese

x2 bags of frito lays chips

x1 jar of pickles

x1 box of saltine crackers

x1 container of iodized salt

x1 container of parmesean cheese

x5 1lbs cans of chilli

x5 1lbs cans of lasagna

x4 1lbs cans of chicken alfredo

x2 3lbs cans of ranch style beans

__________

Total cost: ~$60

Total weight: ~30lbs

2lbs a day consumed is ~15 days is ~$2/day.

That comes out to a grand total of: ~$120/month, ~$1,440/year on groceries.

But personally I cannot eat 2lbs of food per 24hr period.. I'd probably consume 50% - 70% less.

Which comes out to: ~$432/yearly bill on groceries for me, for eating good, healthy, and tasty!!

Any and all opinions are welcome! I do buy a wider variety. This is just what I am purchasing for the next two weeks, before home time. :)

What brand of chili do you use?

I like different types. Hormels, Wolfbrand, Wal-Mart generic, etc. They all taste slightly different.

Has anyone here thought of getting fruits, so you could make like fruit salad? I love fruit salad. My grocery list, well, I haven't made one because I have not been out on the road yet, but I have been thinking of what I would PROBABLY buy if I was out there on the road. So, I will give a example list.

1. 2 bags of apples 2. 2 sets of bananas 3. 3-4 cans of mandarin oranges 4. Some pomegranates 5. Strawberries 6. Black Berries All 3 of the berries I will probably get 3-5 boxes of them. 7. Raspberries also blue berries 8. Every thing salad related. 9. Cereal which could be from apple jacks to oatmeal. 10. Milk 11. Water 12. Soda 13. wheat bread maybe potato bread 14. Cookies 15. Debbie snakes lol 16. Steak 17. cheese. 18. peanut butter and jelly. yum.

I think this is probably a pretty good idea of my grocery list. Especially if I am going to be out for 2 weeks or more. I will probably invest in a crock pot, grill of some sort, and a few dishes like bowels, forks, spoons, knives for the steak and peanut butter and jelly, couple glasses for the drinks.

SO yep this is my example grocery list!
