I'm sure some of the drivers will chime in but we've had a lot of people go with Roehl and they've really liked the company. Great equipment, great home time opportunities, and a variety of freight.
We have an excellent listing of Truck Driving Jobs. Have a look and see what opportunities you find. Swift has a huge Western base with regional opportunities also.
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
Hey Travis, I'll be going to Roehl CDL training on July 20th in Marshfield. I chose them because I felt very comfortable with making a commitment to them and them making a commitment to me. My interactions with the company have been positive all the way and things handled in a very professional manner. Everything that is expected of me has been clearly laid out and in my eyes their requests are very reasonable. Simply put I trust the company.
I obviously can't comment on driving for them yet, but I'm not at all worried about that being a problem. Good luck with your search! Drive safe.

Roehl is an excellent company. They treated me well during my 15 months with them. No major complaints. Roehl is not huge (approx. 2200 trucks), but large enough to be somewhat compartmentalized. In other words, you deal almost exclusively with your Fleet Manager. They do micromanage things, which is understandable with them having so many new drivers to manage. Last I knew, the Phoenix terminal was only flatbed, but that may have changed. Good luck. You should do well with them.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

I will be moving to Phoenix in less than a month and would like to find a company there where I could get more Hometime than OTR gets. I noticed Roehl Transport has a southwest "regional" than mostly runs from Phoenix to Souther Cal and around the area... Anybody in this division or drive for Roehl? If you drive for them do you like it? Pros, Cons?
