Just finished first month of training Sunday. Xterra feels like a go cart or clown car...then I got into the Kia and it was even more bizarre felt surreal.
Same here. I drive a Dodge Ram 2500 diesel "at home". After a few months in a Kenworth, that big pickup feels like a Miata, and the stick shift is a toothpick! But you get used to it.
When I got done with my training I had to Drive a student to meet his trainer in Ann arbor mi then to hagerstown MD from cedar rapids Iowa in a rental car....that was a very weird trip... yeah you get use to it..
My last time at home (for the forth) was somewhat like that. At first I hit highway doing all of 45. Seemed like I was hauling azz. Hat to put the cruise control on just to maintain a normal speed. The other thing I noticed besides riding in a go-cart, was that I was hugging the zipper too closely.
Then at Wally-World, wanting to back out of a parking space, I was grabbing air trying to find my shifter.
It's funny how that works I have a little cat with a really short throw I found myself not wanting to push the clutch all the way as well. Kinda funny 3 days still felt weird got back in the truck was a little clumsy for an hour then it felt like home again may have to find something something bigher for my personal vehicle lmao

So I went home for the first time since april, went to get in my car and dear god I missed the truck lol my car is a 5 speed felt wrong, felt too close to the ground, I kept checking my mirrors for my trailer and swinging wide on turns also squaring the corners instead of following the curve, I'd pull into a parking spot and hug the line even though there's tons of room. Do you guys feel weird when driving a car after being on the road for a while?
