rofl-3.gif Oh so they finally stopped watching John Wayne movie marathons? Seems that was a favorite for many years.

Would love to be able to watch John Wayne movies. Law & Order is good, but would love some variety some times when I do go into watch TV.

For me, watching sports is not a good alternative in my opinion.

I am a HUGE sports fan. I have also decided despite at the positives of this job, it's TERRIBLE for sports fans. It's like hitting the lottery finding a truck stop with a tv show room and a sports room.

XM radio has a sports package I believe where you can get just about every sporting event broadcast live. No picture obviously but a good way to burn a few hours.

You forgot Fox "News" on the TV in the restaurant.

Wait, you got to see Law and Order? It's always NCIS playing when I stop through.

You could just turn your chair around and watch the tired drivers stumbling in for food & showers... It'll be just like watching The Walking Dead. rofl-3.gif

Hey guys, check out this T.V. lounge at the Pilot near Winona, MS - exit 185 on I-55. I was in there a couple of weeks ago. It is about the size of a decent walk-in closet, and has a total of four chairs! Look at what is on the screen - they were watching golf! No offense to the duffers in here, but I'd rather have my under arm hairs plucked out one by one than to have to sit there and watch a bunch of guys hit a ball as far as they can, then go find it and keep doing it over and over all day.

rofl-3.gif omg that's funny. I've heard of things being obsolete before they were finished being built but that is simply a comical attempt at driver comfort. Had to be a marketing department idea...."Hey, put a lounge in there so we can advertise we have a lounge in all of the truck stop books".......

I'll tell ya what though. I've watched a lot of Super Bowls in the bigger truck stops and that's a ton of fun. I mean, about 100 people just yellin and laughin and completely forgetting about the real world for a while. 100 big mouth truckers at that. You get some comical guys in those situations. Tons of fun.
