XPO Logistics, Inc., incorporated on May 8, 2000, is a provider of transportation logistics services and a provider of engineered, technology-enabled contract logistics in North America. The Company provides transportation logistics services to shippers and carriers. The Company operates in two segments: Transportation segment and Logistics segment.
The Transportation segment consists of its truck brokerage, intermodal, last mile, expedited transportation and freight forwarding businesses (XPO recently acquired and assimilated Con-Way Freight, giving it actual ownership of an asset-based transportation segment).
The training at XPO will last approximately 8 weeks.
CDL school runs about 4 weeks, on-the-road training will typically take another 4 weeks.
You will average approximately $600 per week during your training.
Training pay is 26 cpm, which averages out to around $600-650 gross per week.

The student does all the driving during training, while the trainer coaches from the passenger seat.
At XPO you will run solo after training.
Felony convictions are not instant disqualifiers. All criminal (both felony and misdemeanor) history is reviewed on a case by case basis. Drivers must be hazmat eligible.
No BACs, DUIs, DWIs or license suspensions for moving violations in the past five years.

XPO has the following home time options available:
Home time is offered at 1 day for every week out, with no cap on how much time you can take. Drivers can take their trucks home with them.
The company has a free rider policy. One passenger will be allowed at a time. Passenger must be over 12 years old and be documented with the company. Driver may have a passenger once they are driving solo. There are no blackout dates.
Drivers who recently paid to earn their CDL may be eligible for up to a $4,000 tuition reimbursement, in return for a one-year commitment
The company has a pet policy. One domestic dog or cat will be allowed on the driver's truck. A $500 fee will be charged. This may be paid out in $50 payroll deductions over 10 pay periods.
Drivers will earn an extra $25 per loaded crossing.
Priority Hiring Status: XPO has an agreement with the United States Army Recruiting Command to provide priority hiring status to qualified soldiers participating in the Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program.
Paid Tuition and Tuition Assistance: Con-way Truckload offers paid tuition and tuition reimbursement to earn your Class A CDL.
Transition Assistance: Con-way Truckload has relationships with the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) and One-Stop Career Centers throughout the country, to help recently separated military personnel find the right job, program or opportunity to start or continue their training.
Military CDL Act: With the passing of the Military CDL Act, returning military veterans are able to more easily obtain a Commercial Driver's License.
Con-way Truckload Military Apprenticeship Program: The apprenticeship program enables qualifying veterans or reservists who choose to start truck driving careers with Con-way Truckload as students to use their GI Bill benefits to supplement their income up to $1,000/month in their first year of employment. This first year is considered an apprenticeship period during which new drivers fulfill a series of skill qualifications and training and safe-driving performance milestones with a Driver Trainer.
Driver Certification Program: Drivers with recent military driving experience and a CDL will be considered for the Driver Certification program in Joplin, MO. Upon completion, the driver trains with a Driver Trainer for 7,500 miles and can quickly transition to the experienced driver pay scale.
Trucks are both manual and autoshift.
